TNA Genesis Night 1 Review

TNA Genesis 2014 - Night 1 Review

by Ethan Lewis

Instead of putting Genesis on PPV like normal, TNA is doing a two week Genesis special for free on TV. This review is for the first night of Genesis, which took place on January 16th, 2014.

The show started with a long drawn out promo from Spud, Dixie, and Magnus. Dixie brought out everyone who interfered in that cluster of a Styles/Magnus match last week. This brought Sting out. He said he and his guys wanted to fight. Samoa Joe, James Storm, Gunner, Joseph Park, and Eric Young appeared at the entrance ramp and ran down to the ring and brawled with Bobby Roode, Kazarian, Chris Daniels, Zema Ion and the Bro Mans. Spud then announced a 12 man tag match between all of them.

1) Samoa Joe, James Storm, Gunner, Joseph Park, Eric Young, and ODB vs. Bobby Roode, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, Zema Ion, the Bro Mans, & Lei D’ Tapa

Fast paced, action packed match here. It wasn’t anything special, but it was a fun match. Joe gets the win for his team by making Daniels tap out.

Match rating - 6/10

2) Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson

After loads of segments, we finally got a match. Anderson and Bully put on a great smash mouth brawl using various weapons such as tables and ringside railings. Really good match. One of the best of the night. I would recommend checking it out if you missed it.

Match rating - 7.5/10

3) Gail Kim vs. Madison Rayne - TNA Knockouts Championship Match

Both of these women are very good wrestlers and they put on a good match, but unfortunately they didn’t have an extended amount of time. An action packed solid 10 minute contest. I really want to see more of these two competing. Rayne wins and becomes Knockouts Champion!

Match rating - 6/10

4) Sting vs. EC3

Overbooked garbage just like Styles/Magnus from last week. Spud is announced as special ref and the match barely even gets going before Magnus interferes. EC3 rolls Sting up for a quick win after Magnus gives a fast count.

Match rating - N/R

Overall thoughts:

Well tonight’s show was lackluster in my opinion. It seemed to be more about furthering storylines than anything else which is fine because you have to those shows sometimes. My thing is - why make “Genesis” two nights when the first night is just filler and building towards next week? I would have preferred them just scheduled Genesis a week later and just having a regular Impact this week. The only match worth checking out here is Anderson/Ray. The storylines are progessing well and are quite interesting. I will give TNA that, the storylines currently going on are very interesting.

And speaking of next week, I expect it to be amazing and blow this night of Genesis out of the water. For those who didn’t watch tonight, I will run down the match card for next week (Genesis - Night 2):

Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries - X Division Title Match

The American Wolves debut

James Storm vs. Gunner - World Title Case on the line

Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode - Steel Cage Match

Sting vs. Magnus - TNA World Title Match - If Sting loses, he is fired

It’s an awesome card and I’m very excited for it. So, night one was basically a dud as far as quality wrestling goes, but I’m sure Night 2 will make up for it. Only time will tell.

WWE Monday Night Raw Review (1-13-14)

WWE Monday Night Raw Review - January 13, 2014

by Ethan Lewis

The show kicked off with a Wyatt Family video package followed by tag team action pitting Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt against The Usos!

1) Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt vs. The Usos

This match opened the show and didn’t last long. Not really much I can say here as it ended in a disqualification after Rowan and Harper interfered. A rematch for later in the night was made, but this time it will be in a Steel Cage!

2) John Cena vs. Damien Sandow

Sandow and Cena have great chemistry together and it showed once again here. They had a solid 15 minute match that left me wanting to see them face off again. Really good match. I wish WWE would have given Sandow a serious push so we could have gotten a feud between these two.

3) Jack Swagger vs. Big Show

Nothing really going on here. Squash match.

4) The Shield vs. CM Punk & The New Age Outlaws

Outstanding match here that in my opinion topped their previous encounter on Smackdown. It was more fast paced and hard hitting. Reigns delivered an impressive kick which is yet another reason this match was great. He continues to impress me each week. Punk tried to tag out near the end, but the New Age Outlaws walked off! Nice twist! Interested to see where this goes from here!

5) AJ Lee & Tamina vs. Naomi & Cameron

Typical Divas tag match. Short, but sweet. The crowd actually chanted “We Want Cameron” at one point. Interesting that the crowd got behind her. This match was too short to really get anything going though. Would have liked to seen it get some more time.

Right around here, they announced that Ultimate Warrior would be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year!

6) Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston

Going into this, I was expecting a short squash match. That’s not what we got surprisingly! Orton and Kingston got around 15-20 minutes and put on a solid match. It wasn’t an oustanding classic or anything, but it’s much better than what I expected. What’s even more shocking is that Kofi won! Orton snaps afterwards and beats down Cena’s father sitting on the front row. Throwback to heel Orton from 08/09 with that move.

7) Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel

Average tag team match with some good action here. Nothing bad, but nothing special either. Rhodes Bros get the victory.

8) Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio

Random, typical TV match. Del Rio gets the win via submission then calls out Batista once again. I’m expecting to see Batista & Mysterio team up against Del Rio and someone next week after the way Del Rio delivered that promo.

9) Daniel Bryan & Bray Wyatt vs. The Usos - Steel Cage Match

I had high expectations into this match. All four men have proven they can go and they did in this match. Several cool moves and moments during the bout which ended with The Usos getting the victory. Afterwards, Daniel Bryan turned on Bray Wyatt delivering multiple kicks to him and slamming him into the cage. Bryan took off his Wyatt’s attire and sat on top of the cage to a deafening reaction from the crowd. Amazing sight.

Overall thoughts: Tonight’s edition of RAW was decent. There were several solid matches, but nothing over the top. The ending was amazing. Seeing Daniel Bryan turn on the Wyatt Family and the crowd be even more behind him then they were before was so awesome. I hope 2014 holds big things for Daniel Bryan. He without a doubt deserves it. Solid edition of RAW this week, I expect next week’s to be even better!

WWE Monday Night Raw Review (1/6/14)

WWE Monday Night Raw Review - January 6, 2014

by Ethan Lewis

The show starts off with Ric Flair. It was a decent segment to open the show, but nothing special. Orton comes out and insults Ric. This brings out Cena who challenges Orton to a fight, Orton slowly backs away as Cena and Flair celebrate and strut in the ring.

1) Daniel Bryan, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan vs. The Usos & Rey Mysterio

This was a decent opening match. We didn’t see much of it though because there was a commercial break in the middle of it and it was quite short. Didn’t last long. Nothing special here.

Match rating - 5/10

2) Big E Langston vs. Curtis Axel

Another short match, but I enjoyed this one just a little bit more than the opening match. Still nothing special, wish it would’ve went longer. It could’ve been better if it did.

Match rating - 5.5/10

Next up it was time for the Piper’s Pit with The Shield as his guest. The show really picked up here as Ambrose went toe to toe with Piper on the mic which was epic.

The Shield ends up beating down Piper, but CM Punk along with the New Age Outlaws make the save! Awesome segment.

Segment rating - 10/10

3) Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara

Nice little match here, enjoyed it much more than the first few matches tonight. These two have been putting on good matches together lately. Although this one was shorter than their previous encounters it was still a good encounter.

Match rating - 6.5/10

4) Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. The Real Americans

First standout match of the night. Awesome tag team bout with lots of action. Swagger & Cesaro and the Rhodes Bros are known for putting on good matches together and I believe this was my favorite one they’ve had. Outstanding match.

Match rating - 8/10

Nice little segment happened here between DDP, Booker T and Ron Simmons. DAMN!

5) Damien Sandow vs. The Great Khali - Special Ref: Sgt Slaughter

Eh. That’s all I can say. Sandow has all the talent in the world and he’s placed in a feud with the very limited Great Khali. Talk about being misused. Remember everyone, this is the guy who had an outstanding match against John Cena on RAW last year, now look at what they’ve got him doing. Disappointing. The match? It was pretty boring, as expected. Sandow yelling at Slaughter throughout and after was funny though.

Match rating - 4/10

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came out here and Heyman cut a great promo about Lesnar’s definition of Old School and his quest to become WWE World Champion. They were interrupted by Henry who ends up getting his arm messed up by Lesnar in the same hold that broke Triple H’s arm. As Lesnar and Heyman are leaving, Big Show comes out and has a brief confrontation with Lesnar and throws him out of the ring. Good stuff.

Segment rating - 8/10

6) The Bellas vs. Aksana & Alicia Fox

Suprisingly this wasn’t a bad match. Not saying it was great, but I somewhat enjoyed this bout. Aksana has definitely improved in the ring and Alicia has never been that bad so this was decent.

Match rating - 6/10

7) Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty, & Grandmaster Sexy vs. 3MB

This match was nothing but pure nostalgia. It was nothing, but an average tv six man tag match much like the previous six man tag earlier in the evening.

Match rating - 5/10

After this they introduce all the legends to us. They are interrupted by Bad News Barrett.

8) CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns

The New Age Outlaws came out and introduced Punk and stayed at ringside during the match. Ambrose and Rollins were in Reign’s corner. This was a great match between Reigns and Punk. It was slow in a few spots, but it was a really good match overall. Shocked that Reigns won, but the crowd was really into it and chanting “This Is Awesome”. Jake The Snake Roberts came out and put his snake on Ambrose. Good way to close the show.

Match rating - 8/10

Overall thoughts: In my opinion, there was too much filler on this show. I’m mainly referring to the extremely short matches such as the opening 6 man tag, Big E/Axel, and Cara/Del Rio. The Sandow/Khali match wasn’t needed either. If that’s all they have for Sandow, might as well leave him off TV. There was some great stuff that happened tonight though. The Shield in the Piper’s Pit and Brock Lesnar & Heyman’s segment with Henry & Show were both outstanding. The Rhodes Bros match against the Real Americans and CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns were the best matches of the night. Other than those segments and matches, nothing else was really worth seeing. I had high expectations for this show, but they didn’t really reach them to be honest. Average show. When all the the ratings are averaged up, the rating for this show is 6.6/10 and I believe that is an accurate rating for it.

Fantasy Booking: The Road To WrestleMania

How I would book the Road to WrestleMania

by Ethan Lewis

The Road To WrestleMania is just beginning and it looks to be interesting as always. Being the die hard wrestling fan that I am, I always think of possible storylines and matches to do. In this column, I will go through not only what I’d like to happen, but also what I think will happen. As I have stated in previous fantasy booking articles, this isn’t just me stating what I would like to see happen. It is that combined with what I think will realistically happen. For instance I’d love to see Punk vs. Bryan at Mania, but I don’t think that is going to happen, which is why I’m not putting that in this article. With that out of the way, let’s get started.

I am going to explain what I think will happen/how I would book the Road To Wrestlemania including full match cards and outcomes for Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. By the end of this article, we will have created a full WrestleMania 30 card.

Royal Rumble build up and outcome:

What better place to start than with the build up to the Royal Rumble. Already announced for the Royal Rumble is the main event, John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Title. I feel like the Royal Rumble should go on last, but that’s a whole nother topic. So, there are typically only a few matches besides the Rumble on this PPV. One is already announced so let’s figure out what other matches could/should take place at the Rumble.

With the recent focus being put on the IC Title since the WHC is no more, I think we will get a Intercontinental Championship match on the show. I think Big E should defend the title against Mark Henry. The clash between these two is going to happen eventually and I think the Royal Rumble would be a good place to do it. Don’t turn Henry back heel again though. Just have it be more about the title and competition. Have Big E give his friend a shot at the title.

I also think Ambrose should defend his US Title on the show. I mean, he hasn’t defended it in months. It makes the title look bad. I say have Dean Ambrose defend the United States Championship against CM Punk at the Royal Rumble. It makes the title look more prestigous having a main eventer like Punk contend for it. Set this up simply by having Punk call Ambrose out on not defending it. Ambrose has been referring to himself as the best member of The Shield, but that everyone thinks he is the weak link so that will be what persuades him to defend it against Punk.

I also expect WWE to add a match involving the Woods/Truth-Clay feud. If you notice, WWE has been having Brodus Clay lose since turning heel. I was utterly confused at first, but it finally dawned on me what they are doing. Or atleast what I think they are doing. If you notice, Tensai hasn’t been on TV in a few weeks, so I think they are going to bring him back as a monster heel as well in the next week or so to team with Clay. I think the newly heel Clay & Tensai (which I think will be great) will face Woods & Truth at the Rumble PPV.

The next match that I think should and will be added is The Rhodes Bros vs. Swagger & Cesaro for the Tag Team Titles. They’ve been teasing these two teams facing for the titles in recent weeks as Swagger/Cesaro do hold a victory over the champions. I hope this happens.

There will probably also be a Divas Match on the show, but that division is in such a cluster at the moment, that there’s no telling who will get a title shot, but I want to see a rematch between AJ and Natalya so let’s go with that.

The Royal Rumble card would be as follows:

Royal Rumble 2014:

Big E Langston vs. Mark Henry -  IC Title Match

Dean Ambrose vs. CM Punk - United States Title Match

Brodus Clay & Tensai vs. Xavier Woods & R-Truth

Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. The Real Americans - Tag Team Title Match

AJ Lee vs. Natalya - Divas Title Match

Royal Rumble Match

John Cena vs. Randy Orton - WWE Championship Match

Outcome of the Royal Rumble:

Langston/Henry - I would have Langston win this match. Langston winning against Henry here will solidify him as a dominant champion.

Ambrose/Punk - Ambrose beating Punk with help from The Authority will further the tension between Punk and HHH. Have Kane make it a No DQ match and it basically turn into a handicap match near the end. This will piss off Punk and give him reason to call out Triple H on it the next night on RAW, saying he was the one who told Kane to make it No DQ.

Clay & Tensai/Truth & Woods - Tensai & Clay winning would be the start of their run of solidifying themselves as a dominant monster heel tag team, but have them cheat to win, which will pro long their feud with Woods & Truth.

Real Americans/Rhodes Bros - I think the Real Americans should win this match. Swagger & Cesaro (The Real Americans) winning the Tag Team Championships will be the start of tension between Cody & Goldust. It will also be the start of a dominant run through the Tag Team Division by Swagger & Cesaro.

AJ/Natalya - This will be the match where tension begins to build between AJ and Tamina. Have AJ win, but only because she forced Tamina to help her.

Royal Rumble - During the Rumble, I expect several things to happen. One thing is several returns. The obvious return that is long awaited is Batista. Other returns I expect to happen include Christian, Sheamus, and Rob Van Dam. Also during the match, I expect Shawn Michaels to somehow cost Daniel Bryan the match. Whether its causing him to get eliminated, or entering the Rumble himself and eliminating Bryan then leaving, I think it will happen somehow. In the end, I think Batista will emerge the winner and get a shot at the WWE Title at WrestleMania 30.

Cena/Orton - I think it’s obvious that Orton will win here. Doubt they would make him lose in his first title defense.

Elimination Chamber build up and outcome:

The night after the Rumble expect more seeds to be planted for WrestleMania. I say have Punk come out and say he wants Triple H to come out and admit to everyone that he was the one who told Kane to make the match at Rumble a No DQ match, and that he also told Rollins & Reigns to come out and cost him the match. They could also have Punk be eliminated by The Shield in the Royal Rumble and have Punk claim HHH planned that as well. In recent weeks, we’ve heard Punk say he feels like Triple H is the reason The Shield keeps attacking him and what not, so this would make perfect sense. Don’t have Triple H come out though, they need to prolong the HHH/Punk confrontation so it will be bigger when it happens. Have Kane come out to play it off. Either him or Stephanie. Who ever confronts Punk, have them announce a tournament to take place later in the night in which superstars will face off to earn a spot in the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Title and that Punk will be in that tournament.

As far as the IC Title picture goes, I think we should see Big E Langston come out and cut a promo on how he is a fighting champion. Have him discuss how there are normally two Elimination Chamber matches for both World Titles, but since the title are unified there will be only one, but he wants to change that. He can talk about how the IC Title is now the second most-prestigous title in WWE and that he wants to defend in the Elimination Chamber to show everyone how dominant he is and to bring prestige and meaning back to the IC Title.

In the Tag Team Title picture, I would have Swagger & Cesaro go on a winning spree in the division. Have them cut a promo each week issuing an open challenge. Through the weeks they will have faced and beaten The Usos, Cody Rhodes & Goldust, Woods & Truth, Ryback & Axel, and the Prime Time Players. Then on the week before Elimination Chamber, have Swagger, Cesaro and Colter come out and gloat about their dominance and say they are going to show that they are the strongest and most dominate team in the WWE by having a gauntlet match at Elimination Chamber and that all the people they’ve beaten over the past few weeks will have a shot at the gold.

In the Divas Division, I would have AJ scheduled in a match against Kaitlyn on an episode of RAW and once again have AJ get Tamina to interfere, but this time, let it not work, have Kaitlyn get the win despite Tamina’s interference. This will make AJ even more mad. Continue doing things like this which will further the tension between the two. Then on the week before Elimination Chamber, have Kaitlyn get a shot at the Divas Title since she beat AJ weeks earlier, but Tamina interferes and helps AJ succesfully win. This brings out Natalya who along with Kaitlyn challenges Tamina and AJ to a tag team match at Elimination Chamber.

The WWE Championship Elimination Chamber tournament should take place over two weeks. The first two weeks after the Rumble. Match-ups for this tournament could be made based on one requirement - former champions only. Some matches could include: Week 1 - John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam, Brock Lesnar vs. Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk vs. Mark Henry (HHH stacking odds against Punk) and Week 2 - Daniel Bryan vs Christian and The Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio. The winners would be John Cena, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and The Big Show which means they will compete in the Elimination Chamber for the WWE Championship against Randy Orton.

So far we have four matches set up which leaves several more slots open. One of the biggest group of stars that don’t have a match are The Shield and The Wyatt Family. What a coincidence. I think this would be the perfect time to begin planting seeds for a Shield/Wyatt Family feud. Have The Shield be arguing like they have been seen doing in recent weeks and have the Wyatt Family come out and let Bray cut a promo like only he can do on how The Shield might be losing it and how they may no longer be the best team in WWE. The next week, have Bray challenge The Shield to pick their two strongest members to face Rowan and Harper at the Chamber. Let Ambrose play the cowardly heel by volunteering Rollins & Reigns for the match and removing himself from the situation even though he has stated himself to be the best in the group over the past few weeks. This will continue to make Ambrose more hated as a heel and begin to build Reigns and Rollins as faces.

There are a few more big names that are still not on the card - Rob Van Dam, Alberto Del Rio and Christian. I say let the three face each other at the Chamber PPV. How to set this up? Simple. Have Rob Van Dam come out a week or so before the PPV and mention how he just returned and doesn’t have a match on the PPV. RVD basically issues an open challenge to anyone in the back who wants to face him at the PPV. This will bring out Christian. Christian can say he just returned as well and feels like people think he and Van Dam don’t have it any more so why not have a match at Elimination Chamber and prove everyone who thinks that wrong by stealing the show. They agree to the match, but not before Alberto Del Rio hits the ring and mentions the fact that he beat them both so the truth is, they don’t have it any more. Van Dam and Christian can then talk Del Rio into being in the match as well - creating a triple threat match for Elimination Chamber.

Elimination Chamber card:

Rob Van Dam vs. Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio

Big E Langston vs. Mark Henry vs. The Miz vs. Fandango vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus - Elimination Chamber Match for the Intercontineal Championship

AJ Lee & Tamina vs. Natalya & Kaitlyn

Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro gauntlet vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel vs. Prime Time Players vs. Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. The Usos - Gauntlet Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships

Luke Harper & Erick Rowan vs. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show vs. John Cena - Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship

Elimination Chamber outcome: RVD/Christian/Del Rio - I think this would be a great match to start the show. Give these guys 15-20 minutes and they could put on an outstanding contest. I say have Del Rio steal the win from either RVD or Christian, which will set up for more between these three.

IC Championship Chamber Match - I may not be a huge fan of Big E, but if WWE is gonna push him, I’d prefer they do it right and this would be the next right step to take in my opinion. Have Langston go in here and clean house by eliminating nearly everyone singlehandely. I say let Langston and Sheamus start the match. Seeing these two go at it would be cool to see. Then once people start entering have Langston and Sheamus basically compete to take out more men. Let the last three be Langston, Sheamus, and Ziggler and have Langston and Sheamus be staring down, but Sheamus has forgot about Ziggler and gets hit with the Zig-Zag from behind and is eliminated by him. Then have Langston hit the Big Ending on Ziggler for the win.

Divas Match - This will be the match where I think they should have Tamina turn on AJ. Have AJ make Tamina start the contest and do most of the work, but then AJ gets in and gets beaten down so she goes to tag Tamina back in but Tamina jumps off the apron so AJ starts yelling at her to get in, have Tamina slap AJ and walk away allowing Natalya and Kaitlyn to get the victory.

Tag Team Championship Gauntlet - We all know Swagger & Cesaro can put on amazing matches. Especially Cesaro as we saw him have a match of the year candidate bout against Bryan in 2013. I say let this be another dominant showing for them, but not dominant as in squash, but dominant as in giving this gauntlet 45 minutes. Have Ryback/Axel be the first team in, but only last 8-9 minutes. Then have The Usos come out and let the Real Americans battle with The Usos in an outstanding 15 minute contest, but finally picking up the win. Next up, give the Real Americans a break by having them pretty much squash PTP in a short 5-6 minute match. Then have Cody & Goldust be the last team to enter and let this be the final showdown between the two teams. I would give these two teams near 20 minutes to show us how great they are, but in the end after a grueling match, the Real Americans get the victory, showing everyone that they truly are the strongest, best, most dominant and most technical tag team in WWE.

Wyatt Family/Shield - Since Bray and Dean aren’t competing, have them be on commentary for this match. I think the best way to go here is to have Rowan & Harper be on the verge of winning, but Dean comes in and tries to interfere but somehow ends up costing Rollins & Reigns the match. Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose argue as The Wyatt Family looks on laughing.

WWE Championship Chamber Match - I think this would be an awesome match. I would put Batista on commentary for this match since he will be facing the winner. Alot of stuff will take place here so make sure to read carefully. I’m going to use a lot of detail so this is how I think it should go down. Earlier in the night, I would have cameras catch Heyman talking to Triple H about agreeing to work together to take Punk out in the Chamber tonight. So have  Punk and Lesnar start the match. That would get the crowd buzzing for sure. Punk and Lesnar go back and forth with some good action. Then have the next entrant be Randy Orton, but shock everyone by having Orton and Lesnar work together to take out Punk and have them do so by eliminating him seconds before Daniel Bryan enters the match. Bryan comes in swinging at Lesnar and Orton, but ends up getting beat down and double teamed as well. Somehow Bryan manages to not be eliminated, and The Big Show enters next to even the odds. Show comes in knocking Orton and Lesnar around the ring. Here comes the next big moment of the match, have Show be about to punch Orton out, but Orton ducks and pushes Lesnar in front of him, thus Lesnar gets the brunt of the KO punch from Show. Then Orton can low blow Show and cover Lesnar to eliminate him and get the pin. Orton then turns around and hits an RKO on Big Show, but isn’t able to get the pin. Then we see Kane coming down the ramp with a steel chair in hand. Kane somehow slips Orton the steel chair, but Orton turns around to a running knee from Daniel Bryan, but he ducks it and levels Bryan with the steel chair. Cena is still in his chamber watching this take place as the seconds tick down before he is released. Kane is still at ringside directing traffic for Orton. Orton goes out to Cena’s chamber and taunts him as the clock winds down. Orton is waiting for him to come out with the steel chair. Just as Cena’s pod is opened, Show comes running to spear Orton, but Orton moves and Show spears Cena sending him through the cage wall leaving a huge hole in the chamber wall. Show and Cena are laying on the broken down wall outside the ring as Orton looks on. Triple H comes down to the ring with Stephanie and a few refs to try and get control. Triple H motions for Orton to cover Big Show for the count. Big Show begins to get up so Kane hands Orton another chair and he delivers a DDT to Big Show on the chair. Orton covers Big Show and gets the three count to eliminate him. Orton then sets his sights on Cena who is starting to get up, but turns around to a running knee from Bryan and this time it connects. Bryan goes to work on Orton, hitting all of his big moves then Bryan covers Orton, but only gets a two count. Cena is now on his feet and he comes face to face with Bryan. Orton stands back up and all three men stare at each other as Triple H, Kane and Stephanie look on outside. Cena and Bryan then begin double teaming Orton. Cena ends up hitting the AA on Orton, but as soon as he does Bryan hits Cena with the running knee. Bryan covers Cena and eliminates him. Bryan then walks to the opening of the cage and looks at Triple H and taunts him about the fact that he’s about to become the champion. Bryan goes back in the ring and puts Orton in the YesLock in the center of the ring. Outside of the ring, Triple H starts motioning for someone to come out and out runs Shawn Michaels. Michaels has a steel chair in hand and he hits Bryan over the back with it, breaking the hold he had on Orton. HBK hits Bryan with the chair repeatedly. Shawn gets in the corner and begins to stomp his foot, preparing to hit Sweet Chin Music on Bryan, but out of nowhere CM Punk runs in the ring and tackles Shawn Michaels. Triple H runs out and throws Punk off of Michaels. Triple H helps Shawn up and tells him to finish it. Behind Triple H, Punk picks up a steel chair and as he waits for Hunter to turn around, The Shield runs out and attacks Punk before he could hit him. Triple H turns around to see this and tells Ambrose to beat Punk with the chair. Ambrose bosses Rollins and Reigns around and tells them to hold Punk. Rollins reluctantly holds Punk up, looking pissed because Ambrose is once again acting like he’s better than them. Ambrose goes to hit Punk, but Punk ducks and Ambrose hits Rollins. Reigns turns around to see this and spears Ambrose out of nowhere. Kane and Stephanie try to calm Reigns down and get The Shield back together. Batista now gets up from the commentary table and goes to ringside to look on. Back in the ring, Bryan is making his way to his feet and doesn’t see HBK behind him. Bryan gets up, turns around and Shawn superkicks him. Bryan goes to fall over and Orton catches him with an RKO. Orton covers Bryan for the win. Shawn Michaels stands over Daniel Bryan as Randy Orton celebrates with the title. Outside the ring Stephanie is trying to get The Shield on the same page as they walk to the back arguing. As Orton celebrates in the ring, Batista makes his way into the chamber and steps into the ring and stares Orton down to end the show.

Post Elimination Chamber/Build towards WrestleMania:

So after everything that went down in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match, I say start the first Raw after Elimation Chamber with CM Punk. Punk can come out pissed off about what happened last night. He can say that last night proved what he’s been saying for weeks - that Triple H is out to keep him from succeeding. Punk can bring out Daniel Bryan and say he wasn’t the only one who got screwed last night because Bryan did as well. Punk and Bryan can then demand for Triple H to come out, but instead we get Kane. Before Kane can speak, Big Show comes to the ring looking pissed and tells Kane that he is close to knocking him out right now for screwing him over in the match the night before. Kane says if Show hits him he will be suspended indefinitely. Kane then announces that tonight Punk, Bryan, and Big Show will face The Shield. Also on this night, have Randy Orton’s Championship Celebration. During the Punk/Bryan/Show-Shield match, have The Wyatt’s come down and sit in the entrance way to taunt and somewhat distract The Shield. Punk, Bryan and Show pick up the win after another miscue by Ambrose. This will further the tension between the three as well as the tension between The Shield and The Wyatt Family. Now onto later in the night to Randy Orton’s Championship Celebration: Triple H comes out accompanied by Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and Kane. The Shield is already in the ring. Triple H introduces Randy Orton. Orton begins to gloat about what he did when all of a sudden - Batista’s music hits. He comes out onto the entrance ramp. He says he’s not gonna come up there because he knows he’s outnumbered and will get beaten down, but that he’s got some friends who will accompany him up there. CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and The Big Show come out to the stage and stand beside Batista. The four men begin walking towards the ring and they are met by The Shield. They beat down The Shield and then set their sights on Triple H, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and Kane. They hit the ring, but Orton, Michaels, HHH and Kane flee before they can get their hands on them. Triple H tells The Shield to attack them again, but with Kane and Randy’s help. Just as they are about to attack them, the lights go out and The Wyatt’s appear in the ring alongside Batista, Punk, Bryan, and Big Show. Kane, The Shield, and Orton go after them anyway, but get beaten down. Batista, Punk, Bryan, Show, and The Wyatt Family stare down The Authority as RAW goes off the air.

So, in that paragraph above I detailed how I would book certain parts of the RAW after Elimination Chamber we saw alot of big names facing off. One of the matches that face off will lead to is The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family. To continue building towards this match being made, I say simply do this, the next week have Bray Wyatt get on the mic and challenge The Shield to a match at WrestleMania. He could say that the winner wil be known as the best faction in WWE today, if not in history. The Shield can accept as they will blame their disagreements and troubles on The Wyatt Family.

The next match that has been set up by the ending of Elimination Chamber is, The Big Show vs. Kane. I know some of you were probably wondering why I put Big Show into the Chamber match and this story, but this is why. Show was a huge part of The Authority storyline late last year with Triple H humiliating him and all. WWE has since completely dropped it. What better way to bring that back up then like this. Kane screwed Show at Elimination Chamber thus setting up the rivalry between the two. The build up for this match could be Big Show trying to talk Kane into facing him at Mania and doing things to provoke him and attempt to get him to agree to the match, then the week before Mania, have Kane finally break down and accept and have the two have a huge brawl. It would be perfect. Maybe even make the match at Mania a No Holds Barred contest.

As you were reading this you have probably seen a pattern of tension building between Punk and Triple H. It has already actually begun on RAW in recent weeks, which is why when writing this article, I came up with how I would continue it. The build up is simple - bill this as “Mr. Anti Authority” (Punk) vs. “Mr. Authority” (Triple H). Punk and HHH’s rivalry goes back to 2011 and I’m sure Punk would find a way to tie that in with his promos leading up to his match. And speaking of promos, man they would be amazing leading up to this. These two facing off would be the perfect end to the whole Authority storyline. Well, it would be part of the ending of it, the other part would be the next two matches I’m going to discuss. Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels. It’s a match technical wrestling fanatics have dreamed of (including myself). Ever since Michaels screwed Bryan at Hell In A Cell, I’ve been hoping this match would happen. If it were to happen, I think how I detailed it above would be the best way to do it. HBK costs Bryan the Rumble AND the championship at Elimination Chamber. That combined with the screwjob that’s already happened late last year would make the perfect match up. The promos in this would be emotional and the build would most certainly be filled with drama. Just what a good wrestling storyline should be. And the match - well we already know these guys will deliver. Make it happen!

The final match that the ending of Elimination Chamber set up is the obvious, Batista vs. Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. My prediction of Batista winning the Rumble makes this match obvious, but I think the build I discussed above would be the perfect kick start to this feud. I’m not necessarily a fan of Batista winning the Rumble, but I don’t think it will hurt any current stars here as Punk and Bryan are already rumored to be in high profile matches at Mania. So this would be cool to see, two former Evolution team mates facing off at Mania for the biggest prize in the game, the WWE Championship!

Now that I’ve went over the matches that the Royal Rumble, the ending of Elimination Chamber and the RAW after would set up. Let’s take a look at the other matches. The first one I want to discuss involves Cody Rhodes and Goldust. The losses that they keep having would build tension between the two and ultimately, I think Goldust would be the one to turn on Cody. Have them be in a match on RAW the night after Elimination Chamber and have Goldust just walk out on Cody. This would be another very emotional feud as these two are brothers and it would definitely be an awesome addition to WrestleMania 30.

The next match I would like to see happen is Big E Langston facing Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship. This match can be set up by Big E coming out on Raw and cutting a promo about how he proved at Elimination Chamber that he is a credible champion. This is when Sheamus should come out. Sheamus can pretty much turn heel here by questioning Langston’s whole title reign and then bringing up the fact that the only man he didn’t pin in the Chamber match was him, thus setting up a match between the two for the title at WrestleMania.

After seeing what I booked to happen to Brock Lesnar at Elimination Chamber, you are probably wondering what he will be doing at WrestleMania. It’s been rumored that WWE wants to do Lesnar vs. Undertaker at Mania so that’s the match I’m gonna go with. Setting this up is simple: Heyman comes out with Lesnar and talks about what happened at Elimination Chamber. Heyman says Brock is pissed at Randy because he turned on him and didn’t go with the plan, but that’s a confrontation for another time because he learned something at the Chamber. He learned that the WWE Title picture is a cluster and that winning the WWE Title is something that many people have already done and will do in the future. Heyman says Brock wants to do something no one has done, and something no one has done is defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Heyman can then hand the mic to Lesnar and let him challenge Undertaker to the match and of course, Taker will accept. Heyman can also bring up the fact that he wants this to happen as well because last year his guy CM Punk failed, but his other guy Brock Lesnar won’t. The build up to this would be awesome.

Elimination Chamber accomplished alot, including setting up the feud between AJ and Tamina. Over the next few weeks have Tamina talk about how she watched AJ hold the Divas title longer than anyone ever has and that she has been waiting to take it away from her and that at WrestleMania it will happen. Tamina challenges AJ to a match at Mania for the title and talks her into having it by saying she won’t be remembered as a real champion if she doesn’t accept her challenge. AJ accepts because of that and because she wants revenge on Tamina for betraying her.

There is one huge name missing from all of these predictions for WrestleMania - John Cena. WWE is rumored to want John Cena to team up with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania. So I say have them face Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro for the Tag Team Championships. This has been set up by several different things I’ve booked above on the Road to Mania. First, Swagger & Cesaro defeating all the teams in the division in dominant fashion, make them seem unbeatable. Cena and Hogan are basically the superheroes of WWE, so it would be the perfect match. Second, Hogan refers to himself as a Real American, what a coincidence that the name of Swagger & Cesaro’s team is The Real Americans. Those two things can be what sparks this feud. Many people don’t think this match would be a good idea, but I think it would be. It will be tremendously help the tag team division and it will also be huge for Swagger & Cesaro. It will be interesting to see it happen, if it takes place.

So far, we have 10 matches set up for the biggest show of them all, but there are alot of big names still missing. Rob Van Dam, Christian, Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio and numerous others don’t have a match. With the roster being as packed as it is right now, I think this year would be a good time to bring the Money in the Bank Ladder match back to WrestleMania. It started at WrestleMania 21, nine years ago and was a tradition until WWE made a PPV out of the match concept. I think the best way to set this up, is to have a few guys come out on RAW and start talking about how they don’t have a match at WrestleMania. I say let Rob Van Dam start it. He can come out and say he came back and he’s not gonna go without having a match at the biggest show of the year. Christian comes out says he won’t either and challenges Van Dam to a match at Mania. Van Dam accepts, but they are interrupted by Alberto Del Rio who talks about how he beat both of them so he deserves to be on the card too. Next, have The Miz come out and talk about how two years ago he main evented WrestleMania as the WWE Champion so if any one deserves a spot on the show, it’s him. This will bring out either Brad Maddox or Stephanie McMahon and they can announce that all four of them will have a chance to get a match at WrestleMania because for the first time in nine years, there will be a Money In The Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania. They can say that there are 8 spots available in the match and that over the next few weeks there will be Money in The Bank qualifying matches on Raw and Smackdown, where the winners of the matches will earn a spot in the match at WrestleMania. I say the winners and participants in the Money In The Bank match at WrestleMania should be Rob Van Dam, Christian, Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, and Fandango. It would be a perfect mix of styles and I believe these guys would put on an awesome match.

Before I reveal what the full WrestleMania card would be let’s talk about the pre-show and other minor details of the show. This is the 30th Anniversary of the most important show in Wrestling, I expect WWE to make it big. This means they should have a solid pre-show. I say have two matches. The first being Mark Henry, R-Truth, and Xavier Woods vs. Brodus Clay, Tensai, and Wade Barrett. This can be set up by Truth and Woods looking for a big guy to help them take out Clay & Tensai. Then on RAW the week before Mania have Bad News Barrett pop up and say the bad news for Truth, Woods, & Henry is they will most likely still lose to Clay and Tensai, and even if they did win, it would be considered a fluke because its 3 on 2, which makes it a handicap match. Henry can then challenge Barrett to join the match to make it even which Barrett will accept after talking with Clay & Tensai. The other match I think should be on the pre-show is Ryback & Curtis Axel vs. The Usos in a Number One contender’s match to the tag team tites, where the winner will face the winner of tonight’s big match between the Real Americans and Cena & Hogan. This would be a good match to end the pre-show with, as The Usos are big fan favorites and deliver fast paced matches that would get the crowd hyped up for the rest of the show.

So here is what the final card what would look like:

WrestleMania 30:

Mark Henry, R-Truth, & Xavier Woods vs. Wade Barrett, Brodus Clay, & Tensai

Interviews with Money In The Bank match participants

Predictions from a panel like WWE normally does on their Pre-Shows

The Usos vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel

Main Show: Rob Van Dam vs. Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz vs. Damien Sandow vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Fandango - Money in The Bank Ladder Match

The Big Show vs. Kane

Big E Langston vs. Sheamus - Intercontineal Championship Match

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker

The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family

CM Punk vs. Triple H

Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust

Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels

AJ Lee vs. Tamina - Divas Championship Match

John Cena & Hulk Hogan vs. Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro - Tag Team Championship Match

Randy Orton vs. Batista - WWE World Championship Match

It’s been a while since WWE has had 10-11 matches at WrestleMania, but I think this year would be a good time to have this many instead of the recent normal of eight. The roster is packed and it wouldn’t be good to leave some of these big names off the card. I think this would be an outstanding way for WWE to book the 30th Anniversary of WrestleMania. It’s the perfect mix of new stars, current stars, and veterans.

What to Expect in WWE in 2014

What to Expect in WWE in 2014

by Ethan Lewis

2013 was a really good year for WWE. The first half in particular. January through August, WWE produced solid programming on PPV as well as on TV. They went into somewhat of a slump after SummerSlam, producing three lackluster PPV’s in which the only matches that shined where The Rhodes Bros and The Shield’s tag matches. In December, things seemingly began to pick back up after an incredible ending to Monday Night Raw on December 9th, which foreshadowed what to expect on the Road To WrestleMania early next year. There is alot to be excited about in WWE next year, so without further a due, let’s take a look at some things to expect in 2014.

An Outstanding Road To WrestleMania

January through March is known as the Road To WrestleMania. This is often times when WWE really picks up the quality of their programming as they are building towards the biggest show of the year. The excitement for the Road To Mania has already begun with the announcement that Batista will be returning on January 20th. Beyond that, rumors are swirling that Shawn Michaels may be returning to the ring for one more match against Daniel Bryan at the wrestling extravaganza. It looks to be a great start of the year with many interesting fueds reportedly being planned, such as Punk/Triple H, Lesnar/Undertaker, and Goldust/Cody. Merge that with Batista returning, HBK possibly facing Bryan, and The Shield potentially breaking up or fueding with The Wyatt Family makes it something to look forward to. On top of that, there is so much unpredictability going into this year’s Road To WrestleMania, that it will make WWE must see television for many weeks. There is no clear choice for who will win the Royal Rumble, some names have been tossed around, but it’s not predictable. How will WWE do the Elimination Chamber PPV this year since there is only one title? So many questions. This is what makes wrestling great and is what will make WrestleMania 30 one of the best of all time.

A Stronger Mid-Card Division

As you know, WWE merged the WWE Title and the Heavyweight Title into one championship. In my opinion, that makes 2014 a great opportunity to completely revamp the mid-card division by bringing importance to the US and IC Titles and building better fueds around them. The division itself is stronger than its been in a while. Just look at the names in the division - The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Damien Sandow, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Big E Langston, Fandango, Sheamus, Tyson Kidd, Kofi Kingston and the list goes on. There is so much talent in the group that I just listed and I hope WWE begins taking the division seriously. They could build some solid fueds such as Big E/Sheamus, Rollins/Ziggler, Swagger/Barrett, Cesaro/Sheamus, Kidd/Rollins, Kingston/Kidd etc. This year the booking for those titles has been weak. As of this writing, Dean Ambrose is US Champion and hasn’t defended since Night of Champions. That’s months since he’s defended his title. This needs to be fixed and I think WWE will begin focusing more on this division in 2014 as there is one less major title to worry about.

Exciting New Talent Debuting

NXT is the place to watch right now. For those who don’t know, NXT is WWE’s developement show where new talent competes before they are placed on the main roster. There is so much awesome taltent in NXT right now and several of them are due to debut on the main roster as they have been in devolpmental for a year or more and WWE feels like they are ready for the main stage. Some names I expect to debut soon include Adrian Neville, Corey Graves, Paige, Solomon Crowe and Sami Zayn. Just when I was talking about how packed with talent the mid-card division is, just wait until these guys (and girls) debut. It will be exploding with talent. Zayn and Neville are amazing wrestlers who made their name across the Indie scene before being signed to WWE, Crowe has an intriguing gimmick, and Paige is one of the best Divas in WWE that I’ve seen come along since AJ. I can’t wait to see each of these wrestlers and potentially others from NXT debut.

A Better Divas Division

AJ Lee made an impact in WWE by bringing interest back to the Divas Division. She and Kaitlyn put on the best divas match in months at Payback this year and showed the Divas division has potential to be what it once was. The sad thing is, Kaitlyn hasn’t appeared on TV much at all since losing her belt to AJ. Also, AJ made an impact but has been placed with mediocre competition such as The Bellas since then. The best divas on the main roster right now in my opinion are AJ, Kaitlyn, Natalya, and Tamina. If WWE puts the focus on them we could have a solid division. But if they bring up Paige and Emma to the main roster to join those four, we could have an amazing division. The clashing of their great personalities and exceptional wrestling skills would create a women’s division reminiscent of the days when Trish, Lita, Victoria, Molly, and Jacqueline were the top divas. Another diva that WWE needs to put more attention on is Summer Rae. Her dancing gimmick with Fandango overshadows her good wrestling ability. She along with AJ, Kaitlyn, Paige, Emma, Natalya, and Tamina could make the women’s division great again. Let’s hope WWE allows them to do so.

The Tag Team Division Continuing to Improve

In 2013, WWE put more effort into creating a solid tag team division than they have in years. The Usos, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes & Goldust put on some match of the year candidate matches against each other and showed how great tag team wrestling can be. Although Rollins and Reigns don’t team up any more and Cody & Goldust are expected to break up early next year, the division still has alot of great teams and will continue to grow. The Usos, Prime Time Players, R-Truth & Xavier Woods, Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro, Los Matadores, and Ryback & Curtis Axel are some of the teams that I believe will dominate the tag team division next year. I expect Swagger and Cesaro to win the belts early next year and hold them until they break up and drop them to The Usos. I also expect several other teams to be formed. A Tyson Kidd/Sami Zayn team or Tyson Kidd/Justin Gabriel team would be a solid addition to the division. I’d also like to see Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins reunited in the new year. It’s been said that Triple H wants to put even more focus on the tag team division in 2014 so let’s hope they make it as good or even better than it was this year!

Superstars Returning

Batista is the first of many returning wrestlers in the new year. Batista returning will create some fresh new fueds and certainly bring some buzz to the company. I just hope they don’t push him ahead of younger talent. Besides Batista returning, there are several wrestlers due to return from injury such as Sheamus and Christian. Sheamus hasn’t been around since mid-summer and I’ve honestly missed seeing him compete. I hope he comes back as a heel to fued with Big E Langston over the IC Title. As for Christian, the last match he had was at SummerSlam against Alberto Del Rio. It was an outstanding match that made it into my Top 10 Best Matches of the year list. Christian still has what it takes to put on quality matches. I can’t wait for his return.

An Overall Better Year than 2013

Ifyou put all of the things mentioned in this article together, I think the result will be an awesome year. 2013 was a great year, but I honestly believe that 2014 will be a better year. I think WWE will continue to improve as they have a roster packed with talent. From new talent debuting to building a stronger mid-card, 2014 looks to be another year of improvement for WWE. They had a few bumps in the road in 2013, but hopefully 2014 will be solid all the way through. From the tag teams to the divas to the mid card to the main eventers, they will have one of the best overall rosters they’ve had in a while, let’s hope they capitalize on the opportunity for an amazing year all around.

WWE TLC 2013 Predictions

WWE TLC 2013 Predictions
by Ethan Lewis

I wasn’t too excited about TLC going into Monday Night Raw this past week. The title unification was somewhat interesting, but nothing outstanding that made me want to buy the show. Then WWE delivered the best ending to a Monday Night Raw that we have seen in quite some time. Thus why I decided to do PPV Predictions for the first time in a few months. I’m truly excited about this show.

Pre-Show Match:
Dolph Ziggler vs. Fandango

These two men have went from big matches to pre-shows in a matter of months. Last year at TLC, Dolph Ziggler was in the main event against John Cena, look where he is now. As for Fandango, just a mere 8-9 months ago Fandango defeated veteran Chris Jericho AT WRESTLEMANIA! Despite that, lets get onto the match. I think Ziggler picks up the win here to keep him from becoming totally irrelevant.
Who I think will win: Dolph Ziggler

1)Big E Langston vs. Damien Sandow

Langston just recently won the IC Title on RAW and I don’t see any reason to take it off of him this quick. I see Langston winning this match, then his next challenger being the guy Sandow beat to get this match, Dolph Ziggler. I also think Mark Henry and Big E Langston will face off soon. Mania match for the IC Title maybe?
Who I think will win: Big E Langston

2)AJ Lee vs. Natalya - Divas Championship Match

I’ve been thinking that a “Total Diva” would defeat AJ for the title for a while now and this just may be that time. Then again, I’m expecting a Tamina-AJ feud for the title sometime down the road as well. All of these factors make this one somewhat hard to predict, but I’m gonna go with Natalya for the victory!
Who I think will win: Natalya

3)Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel vs. Rey Mysterio & Big Show - WWE Tag Team Championship Match
First off, I’m hoping WWE adds a stipulation to this match up and makes it a Ladder Match. It would be awesome. This the TLC PPV after all, and there is only ONE match involving Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. None the less, I think this is where Swagger & Cesaro win the belts! Why? Okay - Goldust & Cody are expected to feud and face off at Mania, so this is where you start building tension between them. They lose here, get a rematch at Royal Rumble, lose again, then they are both in an Elimination Chamber match and they come face to face and fully turn on each other. No better way to do it. Real Americans come out victorious here!
Who I think will win: Real Americans (Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro)

4)CM Punk vs. The Shield

We’ve all seen it. Tension has been building between Ambrose and Rollins & Reigns. We saw it during their promos as well as during Ambrose’s match with Punk on Raw. This led many people to believe that The Shield will break up at TLC, but I don’t think that will happen. It’s too early. They won’t break up tomorrow night, but they will further the tension. Have Ambrose piss Rollins & Reigns off again during the match and they leave Ambrose to face Punk on his own and Punk pins Ambrose for the win.
Who I think will win: CM Punk

5)Daniel Bryan vs. The Wyatt Family

This is one of the many interesting storylines going on right now. There are many ways WWE could go here. Bryan joins the family after losing, Bryan wins, etc. But I think something totally different will happen. It’s not some exciting twist, it’s actually pretty simple - Wyatt Family beats Bryan.. badly. Tables, ladders, chairs and steps involved. They completely destroy Bryan then leave. Simple as that. This will set up their feud with The Shield. How? The Wyatt’s can talk about how they are the best team in WWE because they took out Daniel Bryan where as The Shield couldn’t handle CM Punk. They can tease at The Shield’s tension by saying they’re falling apart and coax them into a match at Mania to see who the truly better team is. Atleast thats what I think will happen and what I want to happen.

Who I think will win: The Wyatt Family

6)John Cena vs. Randy Orton - TLC Match for the WWE and World Heavyweight Championshipimage
I expect a tremendous match from these two. There are alot of scenarios WWE could go with as far as the outcome of this match goes. I don’t think they’ll grab each others belts, although it could happen. I think we will get ONE champion. There will probably be loads of interference, but not too much to where it will taint the match, as there are no disqualifications in TLC matches. I think John Cena wins this one and becomes the WWE “Unified” Champion.
Who I think will win: John Cena

TNA Impact Review - (12/12/13)

TNA Impact Review - (12/12/13)
by Ethan Lewis

The show kicks off with Dixie in the ring talking about Feast or Fired, but she is soon interrupted by Kurt Angle. Angle comes out to the ring and calls out Bobby Roode. Roode comes out and he and Angle go at it in a promo battle. Angle says he can beat Roode twice in one night, while Roode says he will always be better than Angle. The two end up engaging in a brawl. By the end of the segment, its announced that next week at TNA’s Final Resolution event which will air live on SpikeTV, Kurt Angle will face Bobby Roode in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls match. Solid segment and that’s a match I’m looking forward to. I’m loving this Angle and Roode feud.

Next up, we get our first match of the evening:

1)Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian) vs. Eric Young & Joseph Park
Solid tag team action here. The feud these two teams have been engaging over the past few weeks keeps getting better. Best part of the match is where Young beats his own partner, Park, in the face until he bleeds so he gets pumped up. After this, Park goes crazy on Daniels & Kazarian and ends up picking up the victory for his team. After the match, Young gets on the mic to talk to Park, who has blood all over his face. Young tells Park: “You are Abyss”. Confusing, but interesting segment.
Match rating - 7/10

Ethan Carter III comes to the ring when we return from commercial. He says his next opponent for the evening is Jeremy Borash. Borash looks shocked, but before anything could happen Sting’s music hits and he heads to the ring. Sting tells EC3 to man up and face him or join the Feast or Fired Match later tonight. EC3 says “you’re on” and acts as if he is going to face Sting then backs down and says “I’ll be in the Feast or Fired match tonight”. Carter leaves as Sting stands in the ring.
Gail Kim comes out to the ring next, accompanied by Lei’D Tapa. She is once again holding her open challenge and out comes ODB. ODB starts brawling with Kim and Tapa. She is getting beaten down, when all of a sudden Madison Rayne returns and runs down to make the save! Great to see Madison back in TNA! Good segment!

2)TNA X Divison Champion Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries - X Division Championship Match
As expected, this was a great match. Aries and Sabin have similar styles, thus they work very well together. I would have preferred that it go on a little bit longer, but none the less it was a solid bout. Aries wins with the BrainBuster to become the new TNA X Division Champion, for the fourth time!
Match rating - 8/10

It’s now time for the final showdown, so to speak, between Jeff Hardy and Magnus before the match for the TNA World Championship next week. Dixie Carter brings them both to the ring. Both Hardy and Magnus cut good promos and Dixie announces that it will be DixieLand match which means the match starts in a Steel Cage and once they escape that, they must run up the entrance ramp, climb the ladder, and retrieve the title. Interesting match concept.

Throughout the night we were shown clips of Rockstar Spud on the hunt for AJ Styles and his World Title belt in Georgia. These segments were actually quite funny. In the final one of the night, Spud finally found Styles’ house and the belt, but AJ caught him and made him leave.

3)Feast or Fired Match - Samoa Joe vs. James Storm vs. Gunner vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Hernandez vs. Dewey Barnes vs. Austin Aries vs. Chris Sabin vs. Ethan Carter III vs. Zema Ion vs. Norv Fernum

Mr. Anderson was supposed to be in this match, but was attacked by a returning Bully Ray on his way to the ring. Bully cut a weird, but amazing promo after piledriving Anderson on the entrance ramp. Also, Curry Man was in the match, but left before it started. Kinda funny. Anyway, the match kicked off with tons of highflying action. Sabin, Barnes, Aries, Chavo, Hernandez, and Joe all took turns diving out of the ring through the ropes onto their opponents which was fun to watch then the action broke down. EC3 was the first person to grab a case so he was out of the match early. Zema Ion grabbed the second case. Another great spot in this match was Aries’ series of dropkicks to nearly everyone in the match! He pinned Hernandez and Chavo in one corner and Barnes and Fernum in the other and went back and forth delivering dropkicks to each of them. Aries attempted to reach a case multiple times, but was repeatedly pulled down. Chavo grabs the third case with help from Hernandez, then came the shocking moment of the match. James Storm is about to grab the final case, but his partner Gunner knocks him off the turnbuckle and grabs the case for himself. I’m not a big fan of Feast or Fired, but this was a solid match with some good spots. Enjoyable for sure.

Match rating - 8/10

If you follow me on Twitter (@StylesClashx), you’ve probably already seen my say this, but this was one of the best overall episodes of Impact in several weeks. There wasn’t a bad match or segment on last night’s show. Looking forward to next week’s Final Resolution. Lots of potentially great matches lined up! Thanks for reading and as always follow me on Twitter!
